Four Generations Farm Policies

  • Evaluation Lesson

    • All new riders begin with a $75.00 45-minute private evaluation lesson.

    • Riders must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes with a heel.

    • A helmet may be borrowed for the first lesson only.

    Monthly Enrollment

    • Lessons run on a monthly enrollment basis.

    • Each package includes at least 4 lessons per month (sometimes 5, depending on the calendar).

    • Monthly enrollment renews automatically unless cancelled by the 15th of the previous month.

    • To terminate monthly enrollment, written notice is required by the 15th of the month prior to the desired cancellation date

    Make-Up Lessons

    • One make-up lesson is allowed per month.

    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

    • No-shows or late cancellations result in forfeiture of the lesson.

    Arrival Expectations

    • Riders should arrive 15–20 minutes early to brush, tack, and prepare.

    • Lessons include riding time + horse care before and after.

    Lesson Levels

    • Beginner Private

    • Walk–Trot

    • Walk–Trot–Canter

    • Pole Pile

    • Jump Program (for eligible riders)

  • Lesson Payments

    • A credit card authorization form is required for monthly enrollment.

    • Evaluation lessons may be paid via cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

    Boarding & Training

    • Board: $950/month

    • Mandatory training package for boarders: $275/month (3 lessons)

    • Training rides: $45 per ride

    • Riding packages available

    Late Payments

    • Payments not received on time may incur a late fee.

    • Riders may not participate in lessons or showing with an overdue balance.

  • Training Requirement

    • All boarding clients must be part of the training/lesson program.

    • Minimum of four horse shows per year for competitive boarders.

    Included in Board

    • Grain & hay twice daily

    • Supplements given if supplied

    • Daily stall cleaning

    • Individual or small-group turnout

    • Indoor turnout when weather requires

    • Basic blanket changes

    Not Included

    • Training rides

    • Medications

    • Trailering

    • Show care

    • Specialty feed or shavings

    Veterinary & Farrier Care

    • Scheduled barn vet and farrier visits are arranged for boarders.

    • Owners are responsible for all associated costs.

  • Eligibility

    • Riders must be in consistent lessons.

    • Families must maintain up-to-date billing.

    Competition Requirements

    • Boarders must attend at least 4 shows per year.

    • Riders must keep their horse in an appropriate program (lessons + pro rides as needed).

    Show Day Expectations

    • Riders follow the training team’s schedule.

    • Horses must be prepared and tacked appropriately.

    • Trainers oversee warm-up and class timing.

    Fees

    • Coaching/day fees

    • Schooling rides

    • Office fees/ship-in fees (if applicable)

    • Travel fees when applicable
      A full show fee sheet can be provided upon request.

  • Rider Safety

    • ASTM/SEI-certified helmets are required.

    • Riders must wear boots with a heel.

      Barn Conduct

    • No running, yelling, or disruptive behavior.

    • No feeding horses without permission.

    • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Weather Cancellations

    • The farm may cancel lessons due to extreme weather.

    • Make-ups will be offered where possible.

    Parking

    • Park in designated areas only.

    • No parking in front of barns, driveways, or trailer paths.

  • Lessons

    • Cancel by 24 hours prior to keep your one makeup.

    • No refunds for unused lessons.

    Monthly Program Withdrawal

    • Must notify by the 15th of the previous month.

    Boarding Withdrawal

    • Refer to the boarding contract for terms.
